A better bunch of boys you would never find...
Saturday saw the Braves converge on the Kammy golf course for a hit, moved onto the bowlo for a bowl and then onto Maz's crib for a barbie and some more drunken shenanigans including fireworks, a bonfire which they had a permit for and some other explosives fun.
Al wore his medal for Coaches pet, Pez wore his straw hat which obviously hampered his golf game. His team did win though. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Mcloskeys team was unable to hit anyone else with their golf balls. The Kammy Open was to be held the next day and the first groups out would have been puzzled by the amount of balls the boys wacked around the first and second fairways before we buggered off. A little pyrotechnics show in the car park before we headed into Candelo city.
Bowls was entertaining for a while- Buzz and Paddy joined us for a couple of hours there- always good to see the lads. A bit of gambling followed, despite the wailings of the lady who had gambled her savings away previously in a display of distraught tears. Donnie has some support group cards if you feel you have any such problems. a quick game of stick where Paddy tried to pick a fight with Donnie was followed by some abuse of the choclate machine before the Braves headed off to Bemboka.
The trip was punctuated by some individuals throwing stuff out of Maz's car at the car behind- no injuries resulted, but much mirth was had. JMac dropped the hammer and soon put an end to their fun. We'd run out of stuff to throw at you anyway.
Back at the pub for a quick stop, keg pickup and off the boys headed for Maz's party shed. Fireworks, orange gun, barbie, movie, BWF (Bemboka Wrestling Federation), and the bonfire(which we had a permit for) followed.
A great day for the Braves which is sure to follow Sunday when some of the boys will look to return and clean off the keg.
Big thanks to Maz for organising the day and the shirts which look great. If anyone wants one we might be able to get some more done.
Cricket time I guess. Over and out for a few months.
